My Blogmas Roundup

Published on 12 December 2021 at 15:24

We have finally reached day 12 of my Survival guides, I hope you have enjoyed reading them as much as I have to create them. I started work on these two months ago and it's been quite inspirational to get me in the Christmas spirit. This has also been great for learning how to schedule posts too, something that will stay with me.

I have shared suggestions for making 'You' time this Season, ideas for couples gifts and advice if you're not feeling christmassy. I particularly loved creating the baubles for Guide number 10 and putting together a list of Not-so-Christmas movies in Guide number 9. Of course everything I have written is of my own opinion, they are all my personal thoughts but I do like to share.

Fellow bloggers

I would like to give a shoutout to some of my fellow bloggers who are also taking part in Twitters' #blogmas. I know how hard it is to complete just 12 days and some are doing the whole of December, so I wish them luck and please check out their sites too:

Christmas jokes

I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite Christmas cracker jokes:

  • Why did no one bid for Rudolph and Blitzen on eBay?

Because they were two deer

  • What do snowmen take when the sun gets too hot?

A chill pill

  • What’s every parent’s favorite Christmas Carol?

Silent Night

A Christmas poem

I wrote a little poem for you:

Green and tall with an angel and some tinsel.

Silver or red, blue or gold, it all goes on our big Tree.

Square or round ones, they require careful wrapping.

Ribbon and bows put delicately on the Pressies.

Traditions, fun and food, movies, sweets and board games.

Anticipation for Santa, stockings up and time with family.

Cold outside, mulled wine and Carol singers at the door.

Twinkly lights, late nights and maybe it'll be snowy.

My wish list

Here's what I hope Santa will bring me this year:

A new Wok. I have had one for many years now and I use it quite a lot. It's time to ditch the old and bring home a shiny new one.

A bale of towels. I painted my bathroom pink in the summer and have plenty of pink decorative items on show also, I'd love pink towels to match.

A woolen thick winter jumper. I really do love my old winter jumper but over time it is starting to look shrivelled and unloved. I only one favourite and hoping for another to replace it.  There is nothing quite like snuggling up on dark evenings warm and cosy.

Perfume. I do have a little obsession with many fragrances. I think it's nice to wear one for every occasion. I'm running a bit low now.

Have a wonderful Christmas readers and thank you for your support.
